Manfrotto is an Italy company that makes some of the best heavy duty tripods you can get. Their construction is top notch, and they represent great value for money. They range from lightweight tripods to more heavier, professional ones that you just shouldn't try carrying around in your travel luggage.
If you're shopping for a tripod on ebay, stick to the name brands like Manfrotto/Bogen. From experience, you're better off picking up a second hand one than buying a flimsy no name tripod that will break after a few uses.

The Nikon D80 was an amazing DSLR when it came out a couple of years ago... and it is STILL the best camera to get for it's price range. The best thing about the D80 is that now that it has been out for a so long, it's widely available in the second hand market (for people switching up to the D300) and it is also much cheaper to buy brand new aswell. In the shops, you could get the camera + lens kit for AUD$1,500.. on eBay you could get the same thing for $1,100. I actually got my Nikon D80 + the awesome Nikkor 18mm - 200mm Lens for just under AUD$1,500 - on retail, it would have been $2,500 because the lens itself is $1000!
